Battlestar Galatica - Roslyn and Bill
One word for this season, awesome!! It has built and built each week and the midseason cliffhanger this Friday looks fantastic. I love the scene in the hangar bay when Bill gets out of the shuttle and Roslyn is waiting there.  To watch the culmination of this story arc that has been running through out the whole series was great, a little more kissing would have been nice but thats okay. The Academy Award level acting abilities of these two really came into play in this scene as they said more with looks and touches. They were screaming love and adored that it was Roslyn who said it first, Bill showed it by resigning and waiting for her.

Got a kick out of the initial meeting between their characters as an instant attraction was there. Have wondered from the begining scenes if their relationship was supposed to be more rancorous but the chemistry of the actors with each other influenced the writers.  Can you explain to me how she could fall for the guy who threw her in the brig at the outset, lol. Their story has had me coming back week after week, don't get me wrong I love Apollo's and Starbuck's story too, but it is the life that these two leaders spark in each other that is great to watch. Her feeling for him as well as the colonies well being contribute to her fighting the cancer as hard as she does. She is his anchor in the insane reality of their lives.

Edward James Olmos reaffirmed why I have loved him since Miami Vice epi where he, as Lt Martin Castillo, had his a$$ handed to him. It was actually his and Mary McDonnell's casting that made me watch the initial min-series. From EJOs first scene I was hooked as he is a powerhouse of an actor. I still say he should have received the Oscar for his work in "Stand and Deliver".I have loved her since "Dances With Wolves". She was brilliant in that role and has had my loyalty as a fan since. It was certainly a treat for me in 1997 when I tuned into "12 Angry Men" and saw both in that dream-team of a cast. She was great as the Judge and he was very good as the juror he held his own with the likes of George C, Scott. I have always wondered if the movie played any part in them beinginng offered BSG, probably not.
